IT services company Framework Communications recently announced that it has acquired business telecommunications company VoIP Synergy (News - Alert).

The announcement suggests that each company shares the same vision of saving their clients time and expanding their operations to new clients. That said, it should affect Framework in such a way that sees it grow its cloud-based IT services. Adam Barney, the chief operations officer at Framework, commented on this joining of forces.

“This acquisition is key to both our growth and diversification strategies,” Barney began. “By acquiring VoIP Synergy, we have an unprecedented opportunity to advance that mission by merging our mutual resources under one roof to generate significant and comprehensive services and tools greatly benefiting our customers operations and increasing both their system performance and bottom line.”

Throughout its history as a lone company, VoIP Synergy has provided its own clients with cloud-based private branch exchange phone systems. This expertise should give Framework the knowledge to better help businesses deal with the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of their own phone systems.

This is not the only partnership Framework has entered as of late. It reached out to Green Cloud Technologies last year to further advance its CareFree Disaster Recovery. Its other cloud-based services include server space and applications, and its telecom services include VoIP, unified communications, and contact center support. It handles a range of industries from education to healthcare.

There is no telling where VoIP Synergy's expertise may lead Framework next. If nothing else, it should serve to strengthen its offering of VoIP in addition to Framework's existing partnerships with Avaya (News - Alert) and TEO that will create a mix of both on-premise and cloud-based products. A little something for everyone.
