Already considered among the top companies in its field, NetNumber announced late last week that CETIN, also among the leaders in it’s particular field, selected its TITAN solution in order to help enable delivery of voice services to customers across Central Europe. CETIN, or Czech Telecommunications Infrastructure, is getting ready to roll out the NetNumber (News - Alert) Signal Transfer Point (STP) application to its international and national voice network.

The company is going to be replacing some of its existing services as well as bringing a brand new STP platform. NetNumber claims that TITAN is the telecom industry’s most robust centralized signaling and routing platform. “After carefully looking at the market of available STP vendors, we chose NetNumber and its TITAN Platform because of the best combination of technical and commercial conditions as well as offered flexibility during implementation and future platform development,” said Vladimir Filip, director, Core Network from CETIN in a recent statement.

TITAN, among other features, offers SS7 networks which allow service to be spread all over the globe to more than three billion subscribers around the world. SS7 is a kind of bridge between the next generation of telecom networks is complete and can officially replace the current generation networks. NetNumber is one of a number of companies that are making sure communications markets around Europe and the rest of the world are up to par until they can be replaced.

At the moment NetNumber has identified the combination of TDM and IP Networks as well as VoLTE and IMS as reasons why carriers are needing to invest in CSRC platforms that support both SS7 and Diameter interworking. Finally, the company feels as though there is also going to be an uptick in STP as the carriers are transitioning to not only Voice over LTE but Voice over WiFi (News - Alert) (VoWIFI).
