Epygi Technologies, a provider of enterprise telephony solutions, recently announced a significant update to its QX line of IP PBXs and Gateways that will make it even easier for businesses to implement a fully-featured Unified Communications (UC) system.
The Software 6.1.5 release for the QX line includes general software updates, additional features and a fully redesigned automatic call distributor (ACD). The new ACD is a Web-based application that includes a range of tools for monitoring and managing call queues as well as the agents that man them. Administrators have the ability to review and/or remotely update the status of each agent’s queue to maximize productivity and reward the agents that have demonstrated the most success. Epygi implemented robust statistical abilities so they can analyze data in real time and collate it into reports that offer deeper insights into the workings of the call center; because this can be done from within the Epygi ACD Console (EAC), there is no longer a need for an external database server.
Epygi offers three IP PBX products that benefit from the updated EAC: the QX50, QX200 and QX2000. These are ideal for small and medium-sized businesses and can be augmented with the implementation of one of four gateways that include built in auto-configuration, firewalls and secure VPN support: the QXFX04, QXISDN4, QXE1T1 and QXFXS24.
Other software updates include support for a new Phone Book feature and Recording Tool as well as enhancements to existing features such as Find Me Follow Me. With a cleaner user experience that is expanded with a more robust set of useful features, Epygi’s software creates a fully customizable system that is perfect for companies looking to better manage mobile workforces and disparate communications. Furthermore, the company has expanded the list of IP phones that are interoperable with its products so that customers have even more flexibility.
The new EAC is now available from Epygi, and the software updates can be acquired for free for existing customers of the QX line of IP PBXs and Gateways.
