Edgewater Networks has added Cohesion Networks as its latest channel partner distributing “The Intelligent Edge” platform. A powerful deployment model for hosted PBX and SIP trunking, The Intelligent Edge features Edgewater Networks’ EdgeMarc Enterprise Session Border Controllers (ESBCs) and EdgeView Services Management System. Together, the two offerings allow operators to optimize customer deployments, while speeding up remote monitoring and troubleshooting.
With this channel partner agreement, Cohesion Networks’ portfolio of data communications tools for network operators and service providers in western Europe is greatly enhanced.
"The Intelligent Edge platform fits perfectly with Cohesion's market focus and adds real value to our portfolio. The feature set is comprehensive and allows us to create compelling solutions for our clients," said Darren Cubitt, managing director of Cohesion Networks. "Working together, we are able to eliminate the inherent complexities associated with network management and security, which are frequent pain points for customers. We believe Edgewater Networks has a supreme product and we are looking forward to demonstrating the value it can return."
In November, Edgewater Networks attended TMC Editor’s Day Silicon Valley where it talked with TMC about The Intelligent Edge, as well as why even small to medium sized businesses (SMBs) need session border controllers. According to the company’s director of Marketing, Rosa Lear, The Intelligent Edge is about delivering a total solution that in turn allows service providers to deliver a seamless experience to customers.
In greater detail, The Intelligent Edge reduces or even eliminates truck rolls and excessive operational costs that can negatively affect margins for IP communications services. This is because all EdgeMarc products combine advanced real time, high availability, management, networking, security features, and voice and data services into a single, easy-to-use edge device. Meanwhile, EdgeView provides unprecedented levels of visibility into the customer’s LAN and WAN connections, along with control over these elements, allowing most common service issues to be diagnosed and remediated without the need for an onsite technician.
