With 2015 on its way out, it seems that a number of companies are making executive-level changes in staff. For example, voice and data communications provider Windstream (News - Alert) recently appointed Sarah Day as president of Consumer and Small Business. Now cloud-based VoIP communications company magicJack VocalTec (News - Alert) Ltd. Is appointing Keith Reed as its general manager senior vice president of Enterprise Sales.

"We are excited to have Keith join magicJack as he has an outstanding successful track record building internal and indirect sales channels as well as creating new offerings," said Gerald Vento, president and CEO of magicJack VocalTec. "Keith's experience and diversified product and sales background will be a great asset as magicJack looks to expand into the enterprise and further leverage our network infrastructure and assets."

Reed joins magicJack at an interesting time for the company. Earlier this year, it unveiled a new pay as you go serviced dubbed magicJackEXPRESS. For less than $40, magicJackEXPRESS provides three months of unlimited local and long distance calling. After that initial period, users can re-up the service with three options: $5 for one month, $20 for six months or $35 for a year. MagicJack also released magicApp Premium for iOS earlier this year, allowing users to turn any iOS device into a VoIP phone.

As for Reed, he is well-suited to his new role with over 15 years of experience leading enterprise sales, business development and channel sales teams to optimal growth and market penetration. He joins magicJack directly from Intuit (News - Alert), were he served in various sales positions, with the most recent being vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas.

"This is a great time to join magicJack," said Reed. "With the industry's most cost effective network and the ability to expand the company's existing base of customers, I see significant opportunity to grow magicJack's enterprise business."
