Zultys' IP PBX Servers Now Interoperable with Bandwidth.com's SIP Trunking Service

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Zultys (News - Alert), which provides pure session initiation protocol (SIP)-based unified communications (UC) solutions for business and enterprises, and Bandwidth.com,a provider of business Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone systems and Internet access services to small and medium sized businesses, have announced that Zultys’ MX family of IP PBX servers are now interoperable with Bandwidth.com’s nationwide Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) (SIP) trunking service.

Founded in 2001, Zultys manufactures business phone systems that support MAC, Windows 32 or 64 Bit or Linux.

Zultys recently released Version 5.0 of its software for MX250 and MX30 Enterprise Media eXchange products, TMCnet reported. This version comes with advanced call handling features such as Find Me, Follow Me. It also allows the IP-private branch exchange (PBX (News - Alert)) system to locate a user at up to 16 different contact points, including mobile and home phones, officials said.

Bandwidth.com bundles SIP with e911 (News - Alert) and other services in what’s known as “SIP trunking,” essentially the VoIP for businesses.

The pre-tested interoperability of Zultys' PBX products and Bandwidth.com's VoIP network enables businesses to achieve the full benefits and cost-savings of business VoIP, officials said.

End-to-end SIP solutions allow customers to kick legacy analog technologies to the curb and enjoy the benefits of business VoIP.

With Bandwidth.com's dedicated IP voice network, customers with multiple sites can link their locations coast-to-coast with one trusted voice provider. This reduces point of failure from legacy technology.

“We've demonstrated that Zultys' pure SIP PBX servers work great on Bandwidth.com’s new nationwide CLEC network,” said Todd Barr, VP of Marketing for Bandwidth.com. “We built our network for SIP, so it's a great fit that eliminates legacy technology to save businesses time and money.”

As a complete communications provider, Bandwidth.com offers IP voice, broadband Internet and hosted VoIP.

“It's great to work with Bandwidth.com, one of the nation's premier ITSPs, to support our customers and resellers with an end-to-end, pure SIP solution,” said Steve Morrison, VP of Product Management at Zultys.

“We believe in going the extra mile to support our channel and their customers with complete packages to address their pain points,” Morrison said. “Proving interoperability with Bandwidth.com's SIP Trunking service makes this possible.”
