Aastra's (News - Alert) family of SIP telephones will now get expanded support from Objectworld Communications, the latter announced recently.

Allowing the companies to deploy the phones in less than 15 minutes per user, all of Aastra's SIP phones are now certified as interoperable with Objectworld's (News - Alert) unified communications solution.

Aastra’s catalogue of SIP telephones contains a wide range of SIP terminals: i220, 9112i, 9133i and 480i. These terminals are suitable for both small and large companies, claims the company. Offering high-quality telephony with high level features, at a lower cost, they can easily replace analogue sets, claims Astra.

With added support for the 6730i/6731i, 6751i, 6753i, 6755i, 6757i, 9143i, and 9480i, Objectworld UC Server now supports Aastra's complete family SIP Phones. This extends UC Server's previous Connect Plus level support for the Aastra 9112i, 9133i, and 480i IP phones. Now, Objectworld's Microsoft (News - Alert)-based unified communications (UC), VoIP, and communications-enabled business process (CEBP) solutions can be combined with features such as Aastra's XML browser capabilities.

“We are very pleased to announce that Objectworld UC Server can now support all of Aastra's SIP Phones," said David Levy (News - Alert), Objectworld President and Chief Executive Officer. “If open standards are to be of true value, it is important that customers can choose an IP phone, such as Aastra offers, which meets their specific needs without having to worry about system integrity.”

With a single piece of software managed by a single management system integrated with Microsoft Active Directory, UC Server provides a complete unified communications solution. The UC Server is available in three Editions, CEBP Edition for communications-enabled applications, Standard Edition for use with existing PBXs, and SIP Edition for all-in-one Windows-based VoIP solutions.

The company recently unveiled new communications-enabled service creation capabilities with its Objectworld Unified Communication (UC) Server software. Objectworld Unified Communication (UC) Server software offers a comprehensive, low-cost approach to business communications featuring SIP telephony, Microsoft Active Directory integration and is in compliance with legacy telephony systems. It provides features such as call-flow management, unified messaging, unified communications, interactive voice response, fax server, and text-to-speech.
