By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributor
NuBridges a provider of software and services designed to protect sensitive data at rest and in transit, is reportedly inviting British Telecommunications plc customers to join its Electronic Data Interchange Value Added Network gateway, nuBridges Exchange Network.
The invitation from nuBridges comes after an announcement from BT (News - Alert) that the company will be closing its EDI*Net service. As BT EDI*Net and nuBridges Exchange Network are related through joint roots, technology and cooperative agreements, it is easy for BT EDI*Net customers to move their EDI transactions to nuBridges.
NuBridges and BT have been collaborating since 2004 with the nuBridges Exchange Network serving as the gateway to U.S. companies for BT EDI*Net customers. Hence, most of the BT EDI*Net customers already use nuBridges Exchange Network for transactions with U.S. companies. The nuBridges Exchange Network is ISO 17999 approved and also holds security certification through IBM Internet Security Systems (News - Alert).
The company has been expanding its geographic focus to the U.K. and Europe and has also been enhancing the network’s capabilities continuously. When nuBridges Exchange Network customers call, knowledgeable support representatives will answer the phone to address customers’ questions. NuBridges specializes in EDI VAN migrations with dedicated migration analysts guiding customers and their trading partners through the entire process.
According to Paul L.H. Olson, CEO of nuBridges, the company encourages BT EDI*Net customers to secure a backup provider early. nuBridges is the best choice to ensure a smooth transition of these vital business services since it has the right technology, services and the right pricing to make it easy for BT EDI*Net customers to continue business operations without disruption.
NuBridges Exchange Network handles more than $900 billion in EDI transactions annually. In fact, it is the only EDI VAN that requires 100 percent secure connections. NuBridges also offers a full range of secure data exchange and protection products and services like B2B gateway software for business integration and managed file transfer solutions and encryption, key management and tokenization solutions that protect stored data and help organizations comply with data security mandates and privacy laws.
