TeleWare (

Alert), a provider of intelligent communication solutions to businesses and service providers, has reportedly launched its TeleWare SIP Trunking solutions, which will be able to deliver resilience for Direct Dialing Inwards, or “DDIs,” within the trunk.
The solutions are an outcome of the already existing high quality multi tenancy platforms in London Docklands and Heathrow, and are able to be offered in a resilient and redundant architecture along with a feature rich set of applications. The SIP Trunking offering earns the resilience and rerouting options through the application support from the hosted communications platform, and the customers receive quality services to fulfill the business requirements for continuous communications.
Leveraging the potential of the TeleWare platform, these solutions will offer the customers FREE resilience on all DDIs within the SIP Trunk, based on predefined alternative numbers. The solutions will remove the need for costly gateways when connecting IP enabled telephone systems, and cut down the expenses and also ensure that business services are transparent and manageable.
The SIP Trunking technology helps the enterprises minimize the capital and operating expenses for business networks, reducing the costs of communication within the organization.
Within a traditional model, the telephone switch of a company is connected to the public telephone network or ‘PSTN’ through the basic rate or primary rate circuits. While in SIP Trunking, a SIP Trunk, line or channel based on the SIP protocol is used for establishing the connection, offering high levels of interoperability with IP devices. The solution offers a low cost, high quality and reliable replacement for traditional ISDN PRI or analogue circuits. The company has already trained its fully accredited Hosted Communications channel, and it is going to immediately begin offering the SIP Trunking solution to the prospects in the United Kingdom.
Robert F. Mason, analyst, Gartner (

Gartner analysts also added that low-criticality sites can also use SIP trunks for local calling, combining all voice and data requirements in a single facility, as the ability to share concurrent call volumes can save between 30 percent and 50 percent for enterprises with large numbers of small, distributed locations.
July this year, TeleWare had announced that the Polycom (
