As 'Session Initiation Protocol' or 'SIP' Trunking is fast becoming a buzzword in the telecommunications market worldwide, the Unified Communications market is going through constant advancements and getting hotter day by day.

Ingate Systems, a provider of firewall technology solutions that enable global SIP based person-to-person communication, such as IP telephony, presence, Instant Messaging, video conferencing, IP-PBX connections and Unified Communications, has announced that the company is joining efforts with TMC and a number of vendors and experts in the arena to hold a new 'SIP Trunk-Unified Communications Summit' at ITEXPO West 2010.
The event will primarily aim at discussing the vital topics related to the subject, such as the procedures and methodologies pertaining to Unified Communications and SIP trunking, a technology that cuts down operating costs and delivers rapid 'Return On Investment' or 'ROI' for the enterprises.
The 'SIP Trunk-Unified Communications Summit', a three day seminar series will be free for all the attendees of ITEXPO, and will offer valuable educational information on SIP trunking and 'Unified Communications' or 'UC'. Comprising of a number of general information panels and technical insight sessions both from the service provider as well as the enterprise perspective, the even will be attended by various experts in the field who are well known within the industry for their experience and analytical observations.
Some of the speakers whose names have been confirmed to attend the Summit include representatives from a number of companies, such as Dialogic, Iwatsu, Mitel NetSolutions, ShoreTel, the SIP School and VOIPSA. At the event, David Yedwab, a Founding Partner in Market Strategy and Analytics Partners LLC., who also contributes to Unified Communications Strategies and writes as a TMCnet columnist, will offer vital insight upon the future for service providers in a UC-enabled world. At the same time, Telia, a service provider will showcase its SIP trunk implementation with Intertex Data AB as a case study at the event. The 'SIP Trunk-Unified Communications Summit' will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, October 4-6, 2010.
According to Steven Johnson, president, Ingate Systems, this session will feature a strong focus on ROI as the economy has forced decision-makers to take a hard look at new technologies, to invest in solutions that lower costs, improve productivity and are easy to implement. Johnson noted that SIP trunking is a secure, cost-effective way for enterprises to adopt SIP, and it's the first step toward UC adoption.
